Spencer Thomas
Pastor of Care and Counseling
Spencer received his Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. After sticking around St. Louis a few years to become licensed as a professional counselor, God called him and the family up to Green Bay to try and help bridge the gap between the church and counseling worlds as both a pastor and a counselor. Spencer has a passion for creating safe places in the church where people can slow down and experience the transformative power of God's love.

about Spencer
Spencer is husband to Molly. They met in the church nursery and after a long and windy road of friendship they married and have been progressing in that space for 10+ years. Spencer gets a daily reminder of both his profound need, and blessing, as he does life with Molly growing in the parenting of Elizabeth (2015), Rea (2018) and William (2020).

What do you do in your free time?
- Parenting is hard, so when Spencer and Molly have the extra energy, you can often find them enjoying a leisurely walk, gardening, playing board games, cheering the Packers on to victory, or immersing themselves in a good story – whether it be a movie, tv show, or book. If you could meet anyone in history, who would it be?
- William Wilberforce, without a doubt. Wilberforce suffered profoundly, and he suffered well. I’ve found through my work in counseling that people who have suffered well end up being some of the most deep and rich individuals I come across. Additionally, Wilberforce’s consistent vision of each man’s dignity and worth have inspired and challenged me since I was a kid.
